Application to the Concentration in Addiction Counseling (CAC1) Program

Application Requirements & Procedures

Applications are to be completed by February 15th

Requirements:

All applicants are required to be Colorado State University Psychology Majors and have:

Enrolled in at least the 4th semester of full-time college coursework
Cumulative GPA of 2.0; or a Psychology GPA of 3.0
A commitment to a career in the alcohol/drug counseling field
Interpersonal skills appropriate for a counseling career
The ability to meet the program standards (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Procedures:

Interested applicants must provide:

Letter of interest (1-2 pages in length)
One (1) to Three (3) references; may be an employer, professor, or supervisor (please no personal references)
Official transcripts from other colleges attended and unofficial transcript from CSU

All applications will be reviewed by an admissions committee

Selected applicants will be interviewed
