Description: This website is an initiative of the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute (TRPI), a nonprofit organization that advances informed policy on key issues affecting Latino communities through objective and timely research contributing to the betterment of the nation. TRPI is an affiliated research unit of the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning, and Development, and is associated with the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy at Columbia University. In September 2007, The John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation, The Sallie Mae Fund, and The Walt Disney Company funded the expansion of the directory so that it would be national, listing all organizations that TRPI could identify that award grants and scholarships targeting eligible Latino students.
Eligibility: *Must be of Hispanic Heritage *Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for High School Students/Minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for College and Graduate Students *Plan to enroll Full-Time in an accredited, not-for-profit, 4-year university or graduate school during the Fall of the scholarship cycle. *All majors and graduate fields can apply, however there is an emphasis on STEM majors.
Award Amount: The award amount ranges from $500 to $5,000 based on relative need.

Description: Colorado Women's Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to Colorado women of non-traditional student age. These women, usually single, have been widowed, abandoned, or divorced and may suddenly find themselves struggling to support themselves and their families. They realize that education is the key to becoming economically self-sufficient; and often times they are the first in their extended family to attend college. Since they are older, they are often forgotten or excluded by other scholarship programs. Our non-profit organization depends completely on donations and wants to do more to empower Colorado women.
Eligibility: Please ensure that you are able to answer YES to ALL four of the following items: Identity: You identify as a woman at least 25 years of age at the time of the application deadline. Residence:You are a resident of Colorado for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline. You reside in Colorado while earning your certification or degree. Education: You have enrolled in or already attending an accredited educational institution of higher learning or vocational training (earning a certification, or associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree.) Documents: Documents: You are able to provide a college or high school transcript, can be unofficial or a photocopy, including your name, institutions name, and showing your cumulative grade point average (GPA). ? Description: The mission of our Scholarship service is to give more American Indians and Alaskan Natives the resources and encouragement they need to learn and succeed. By harnessing the power of knowledge, these future leaders can bring about positive changes in their own lives and in their communities. Undergraduate: Applications submitted by eligible Native American students each spring are reviewed by members of the Scholarship Committee, who award the competitive grants. Up to $2,000 per year is paid directly to each recipient's college or university***. Grantees must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.0 and submit grades to us each semester. Graduate: Students must be enrolled between 6-18 credit hours so that the scholarship is accessible to both part time and full time graduate students. The level of scholarship funding is dependent on the number of hours enrolled in graduate studies. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or above in order to be eligible for the scholarship. Online courses and ABD (all but dissertation) are not applicable for the graduate scholarship. All American Indian/Alaska Native students who are enrolled in their tribe, or have a parent who is an enrolled member are eligible.
Eligibility: Applicants must be: of Native American or Alaska Native descent (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation); attending an accredited two or four year college/university or technical/vocational school; and be enrolled as a full-time student. A GPA of between 2.0 - 3.4 is desirable (but all current or future undergraduate college students are encouraged to apply). An ACT score of 14 or above is desirable.

Description:
Eligibility: Student must be enrolled in a tribe from the Continental US or Alaska. Canadian students are not eligible. There is no minimum blood quantum requirement. Student must be enrolled full time both Fall and Spring semesters at an accredited institution of higher learning for the school year the scholarship would be applied. Your Spring schedule will not be needed until January of that year.

Description: The sponsor will award scholarships to qualified Hispanic students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in accredited colleges or universities in the United States.
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship: Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident; Must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in a college, university, or graduate school, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate's degree. A student will not be eligible for a scholarship if he/she is related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council.

Funding Source: Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) - An affiliate of The World Bank Family Network (WBFN).

Description: The MMMF provides grants to women from developing countries to help further their education and strengthen their leadership skills to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries. Presently, the grants are geared to students of accredited institutions in the US and Canada as well as the Universities of Cape Town, Pretoria, Stellenbosch and Witwatersrand.
Eligibility: For students from developing countries who are currently studying in the United States or Canada, the MMMF awards grants of approximately $12,000 each; grants are not renewable. The MMMF also typically invites the recipients to Washington DC to participate in a three day Awards Program organized in their honor. A woman is eligible to apply for an MMMF grant if she meets all the following criteria: has a record of service to women and children and a commitment to improve the lives of women and children in developing countries resides in the U.S. or Canada at the time she submits the application is enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2012-2013, and intends to be enrolled for the 2013-2014 academic year will use the grant toward the completion of her degree is a national of a lower or middle income developing member country, as designated by the MMMF Country Eligibility List is not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, permanent U.S. resident or Canadian Landed Immigrant intends to return to her country (or other developing country) within two years of completing use of the MMMF grant and perform at least two years of service demonstrates financial need and satisfactory academic performance is at least 25 years old by December 31, 2012 is not related to a World Bank Group staff member or his/her spouse There are no exceptions to the MMMF educational grant criteria listed above.
